About Top100 Tech Lab
What we cover, how we research, and the standards behind our consumer-tech buying guides.
Technology advice should begin with a person, not a product
Top100 Tech Lab is an independent English-language consumer technology publication built for people making practical buying decisions. We cover laptops and PCs, phones and tablets, audio, smart-home products, gaming gear, and the accessories that connect them.
Our guides begin with ordinary constraints: a narrow desk, a noisy commute, a shared apartment, an older television, a limited budget, or several devices that must work together. We then interpret public specifications and documented compatibility in plain English.
Our research process
- Define the use case. We identify the room, routine, connected devices, and likely tradeoffs.
- Review documented capabilities. We use manufacturer materials, technical standards, and current marketplace listing details as starting evidence.
- Separate facts from fit. A published specification can be factual while still being irrelevant to a particular buyer.
- Account for ownership. Accessories, subscriptions, consumables, update support, warranty, and returns belong in the decision.
- State our limits. We never imply hands-on testing when an article is based on published information.
How we make money
Some outbound product links may become affiliate links. If a reader buys through an eligible link, we may receive a commission without increasing the reader’s price. Commercial relationships do not purchase favorable conclusions or placement in our editorial framework.
Corrections and questions
Technology changes quickly. If you spot a specification, compatibility note, or policy that needs review, email contact@top100techlab.com with the page URL and supporting source. We evaluate substantive corrections and update material when warranted.
